Looking at Echoball...a few hours after the jam lol (and future plans)

Greetings! I wanted to quickly make this post as a way to take a moment to reflect on the exciting yet stress filled journey of creating Echoball and explore everything about it! even though voting isn't over I feel like I learnt a lot already!

Firstly I gotta say, developing Echoball was an exhilarating experience, from the initial spark of inspiration to the final release. There were moments of joy, frustration, and everything in between (and lots of coffee too haha). However, let's not overlook the unexpected challenges that arose...

Time management played a crucial role in the development process. As a solo developer, I Tried my best with my knowledge of unity into Echoball, but alas, the clock seemed to have other plans. Despite my best efforts, quite a few bugs and problems managed to slip through the cracks and found their way into the game. Rest assured, I am committed to addressing these issues and delivering a more polished experience.

One aspect that requires attention is the AI difficulty. In my quest to provide a challenging experience, I may have taken it a step too far. I planned originally to have 3 difficulties, each with their own speed, rate of throw, etc... Instead of keeping medium or easy due to time constraints I went with hard, which was clearly not the best choice, since some players found themselves overwhelmed by the dodgeball-throwing superhuman robots o-o. I hear your feedback and promise to find the sweet spot between fun and fair in future updates!

Another area that fell short of my initial vision was the impact of the echos. Due to being super small and potentially bugged themselves the echos didn't have the impact on the gameplay as I hoped for :/

Don't worry, for I am dedicated to expanding their capabilities, introducing new effects, and making them way bigger and more impactful!. Your support, feedback and suggestions will undoubtedly guide the future of the project!

Now, let's talk about those pesky bugs that managed to infiltrate Echoball. Due to the time constraints my testing wasn't as thorough as I liked, as such a few elusive critters slipped through the cracks. My utmost apologies for any inconvenience they may have caused. I am fully committed to addressing these bugs promptly! (mainly that stupidly broken pause menu and some buttons!)

In conclusion, I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity to create and share Echoball with you all. I'm proud of this cause this is the first game I've made on my own that I can say "I did that" with a smile on my face! it's not perfect but overtime with more features and patches I can see this potentially being a amazing game! With your continued support and valuable feedback, I am excited to embark on the journey of the future Echoball, striving to create an experience that will be chaotic yet very very fun!

Thanks for reading! have a splendid day!
